Description Diffused back illumination with grayscale intensity threshold to indicate liquid region. Vapor-phase beam steering also persists downstream as discussed in [1,2]. The light source is a pulsed LED with only 50 ns pulse duration to freeze the flow. Blue liquid boundaries, stored as Matlab binary files, are available to download . See readme notes. Mie scatter illumination from the side with high resolution. Laser illumination side is from the bottom of the image. Similar borders are used to derive liquid length vs time.Interpret with caution because of non-uniform lighting and light extinction.
